Microneedling w/PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) can be added to enhance the benefits of microneedling treatments. Platelets play an important role in healing throughout the body. Platelets contain growth factors that can trigger cell reproduction and stimulate tissue or healing in the treated area.
What to expect during a PRP treatment
- Please begin preparing for your treatment by drinking plenty of hydrating fluids 3 days prior to your appointment.
- When you arrive for your treatment numbing cream is applied to the area to be treated to keep you comfortable.
- A small amount of blood will be drawn from your arm.
- The test tube containing your blood sample is placed into a centrifuge device, that rapidly spins the sample, separating out the platelets and concentrating them within the plasma.
- Your PRP is then microneedled into your skin or injected.
